The -4Db was an initial alternative upgrade route from the -3R before -4D design was fully finished. However, due the use of Artemis IV FCS, Streak SRM-4s rather than Streak SRM-2s and Endo Steel structure made the design far too expensive for the intended market. Only a few units were ever produced.
